Peabody Energy set out to build a new 1,800 MW coal fired power plant on a greenfield site. WB•Koester preformed the initial site work on the 500 acre facility. Some of the work included – power block area, roadways, berms, ditching, erosion control, large sediment basins, and underground piping.

  • Excavated 2,750,000 CY

  • Installed 4,368 LF of RCP storm piping

  • Installed over 745,000 SF of GCL Liner

  • Incorporated 25,360 tons of lime to stabilize 1,165,000 SY of soils
